'all things are possible for those that believe' (Mark 9:23)

Welcome

"all things are possible for those that believe"

Mark 9:23

We are a larger than average village primary school with just over 260 pupils. We provide for children from Nursery age through to Year 6, in 10 classes.

We have a rich and interesting history over the 150 years there has been a school in Woodford Halse and we are proud of where we have come from, but even more so about where we want to go. We aim to be 'Ready, Resilient, Respectful and Reflective' and these are our school values, backed up by our belief in children also being Spiritual.

We are a school of opportunity and try ensure this runs through everything we do. There are not many schools in the county who have a: swimming pool; dedicated forest and stream for forest school; school field large enough to host an annual cross country event for over 1000 children; incredible Nursery; wonderful before and after school care to list a few things.

Most importantly, we are a school of learners, where everyone can learn from the age of 3 to 103! Each day is new and different and each day gives us all a chance to learn or find out something new and different and we embrace that here at Woodford Halse.

We had our most recent Ofsted in November 2019 and were pleased to be judged as a 'Good' school. Whilst an inspection is an important part of knowing who we are and where we are at it is just a snapshot of 2 days in the life of our busy school. We were really pleased that the inspectors noticed that the staff, children and wider community had what it takes to ensure we continue to make fast and structured improvements, or as the lead inspector put it, "a school with its foot on the gas!".

We are proud of who we are and where we are going. Our website gives a tiny picture of that, so if you want to know more about us explore our site and then give us a call. We'd love to talk to you and if possible meet you too to tell you about our incredible school.
