Church School

"all things are possible for those that believe"

Mark 9:23

Being a Church of England School, we also have strong links with the church and the local community.

The children at Woodford Halse CE Primary Academy regularly attend church for various different important services throughout the year. These include Easter, Harvest, Remembrance Day and Christingle.

Our local church is St Mary the Virgin and we are part of the Peterborough Diocese.

Hinton Methodist Church

Reverend Phil Robinson took over his ministry of Hinton Methodist Church in September 2022. He has already established himself within the wider community and our own school community. He leads our worship for Remembrance and alongside his team of volunteers, shares in our collective worship each Wednesday for our Open the Book celebrations.

Turn the Page (TtP)

The Turn the Page Team from Hinton Methodist Church visit Woodford Halse CE Primary Academy School weekly to take a ‘Turn the Page’ collective worship.

‘Turn the Page’ is a national project which offers primary school children an opportunity to hear all the major stories of the Bible, presented chronologically or thematically. Each assembly has an introduction, a story, a thought and a prayer. The children are involved in telling the story, with simple dramatisation and costumes. After the story there is a time of quiet reflection and a closing prayer, which children may make their own if they wish to say “Amen.
